Student Projects
“Service before self” is the motto of students of Ford Dimension and Dream Builders. Service to our community would not be possible without the assistance of various non-profit organizations that serve as Community Partners to our program. These organizations provide expertise, guidance, resources, venues, and collaborations to some of our students’ service projects.
Thank you Community Partners!

Team The Garlic Company
Hidden In Plain Sight – The goal of this team was to educate others about human trafficking. They created a 12 minute video and curriculum about this serious issue that will be used in every health class in the Kern High School District. The video has also been shared with many groups and churches.

Team Bank of the Sierra
S.T.E.P. – In a desire to give back to senior citizens in our community, this team created a fun, interactive workshop bringing together local organizations and speakers to educate the public about the dangers of muscular degenerative disease and other health issues that senior citizens may face.

Team Dignity Health Mercy and Memorial Hospitals
Best Buddies – This team sought to bring a chapter of the international organization “Best Buddies” to schools in Bakersfield. This organization partners high school students with students in Special Education, to forge lasting and meaningful friendships and involvement on campus.

Team Aera Energy LLC
S.T.A.N.D. for Dogs – This team partnered with Marley’s Mutts to educate students at local schools about how to care for dogs. They also hosted an adoption drive to place some furry pups in their forever home and collected over 4,000 pounds of dog food and other supplies for the SPCA.
